17. DON'T install the game, mod tools, or patch files to a deep folder structure. Keep it short and simple, I recommend c:illusion but it should work on any partition.
18. 01. Obtain the game, the sukebei.nyaa.se torrent in the /aa2g/ OP is what this is based off of.
19. 02. Open the game archive and extract the three multiple-gigabyte .mdf files to a temporary folder. Don't extract anything else, only the .mdf images are needed. RENAME ジンコウガクエン2.mdf to something simple and English like DISK1.mdf.
20. 03. Use your preferred virtual disc software to mount DISK1.mdf, do not autorun. PowerISO, MagicISO, and Daemon Tools Lite all should work. If your mounting software supports multiple virtual drives, you can mount all three disks to different drive letters and have an uninterrupted installation process.
21. 04. Navigate to the mounted disk, right-click to use Applocale to launch Startup.exe in Japanese locale as Administrator. If you don't have the right-click option even after installing AppLocale, you can run it from the Start Menu and Browse... to the Startup.exe on the first disk. Japanese is the last language on the drop-down list.
22. 05. Click the third button (INCLUDING the greyed-out options) to install the AA2 Maker (character creator/editor). I recommend installing it to a folder separate from the main game. Remember to change the install path to something simple and non-Japanese, for example c:illusionaa2make. During all these installations, (N) means Next, (B) means Back, (I) means Install, and (F) means Finish.
23. 06. When that's finished, click the fourth button on the install menu to install the game. As before, choose a nice, simple install path with no Japanese characters.
24. 07. If you didn't mount all three MDF files, 1/3 of the way through, it will prompt you to insert the second disk. Now is the time to dismount DISK1.MDF and mount DISK2.MDF.
25. 08. Repeat as above for disk 3, if necessary. The base game installation is now finished.
26. 09. Now that the game is installed, you'll be wanting the DLC and updates next. Make sure you have the latest version of 7-zip!

It will also allow you to uninstall mods and revert changed files so you can apply future updates/DLC without reinstalling the whole game from scratch. I don't recommend using it to launch the game or maker, just because it needlessly complicates the process.
40. 2. Dialog translation, UI, translated names and stuff -- almost everything listed in the main pastebin under '/aa2g/ Mods' should be wizzard-ready. If you need further details on wizzard usage, see the next section.

It runs on startup and then every 24 hours, and checks how many days left you have on your grace period (the task schedule cannot be changed). It will rearm if you have 5 or fewer days before your grace period expires. If the rearm fails because the count ran out (which is normal and inevitable), it restores the backup, which puts the count where it was upon install of AutoRearm. Because this grace period is likely expired, it then rearms (which is why at least 1 rearm is required). The backup will be restored upon uninstall reverting your PC to whatever state it would be in when you installed AutoRearm (though grace may be expired). AutoRearm cannot be installed alongside timesurfer’s IORRT (which does the same thing as AutoRearm).
      NOTE: Retail Microsoft Office nags you for activation on startup, so don’t use Retail. You can stop this by using Volume Edition and using KMS Product Key.

      We’ve got a great big bunch of great news for you!

      A new Humble Bundle just started and we’re in it! That’s right, the legendary pay-what-you want bundle filled to the brim with great indie games and part of the proceeds go to charities as well. It’s on for a limited time only so now is a great opportunity to get some stocking stuffers for christmas.

      But wait, aren’t the games on Humble Bundle always available for Mac and Linux as well? Well, so is Legend of Grimrock now too! You can get access to all the platforms by buying the via the Humble Bundle (of course) or our store.       But. The Humble Bundle and the new platforms are not the only gift we have in store for you. We also updated Legend of Grimrock itself so if you’re on Steam, the game should update by itself but if you’ve got the standalone version, you can download the patch here. Note: version 1.3.1 is required for the standalone version’s patch, so if you don’t have that version, the easiest way to update the game is to redownload it from the vendor you purchased the game from! One nice addition we put into the game is that if you’ve got a low-spec machine, we’ve got a new rendering mode that will help the game run much much smoother on older hardware. But the real exciting stuff is the new features for the dungeon editor. I’ll add a comprehensive change log to the end of this post but there’s one thing we want to highlight here: you can now create custom GUIs. That means you can add 2D graphics on the screen and interact with them using a mouse or keyboard. This means that now you can create, say, dialogues with NPCs, trading interfaces, screens for custom skills and so on. But to show off what the system is capable of doing, yesterday we decided to get off on a bit of a tangent and make a new game from scratch using it. Prepare yourselves for… Toorum’s Quest II!!!
